Carlos Agustín Isidro Alonso was born in 1990 in Mar del Plata, Buenos Aires Province. He graduated as a Biologist in the Universidad Nacional de Mar del Plata in 2014. He is currently working on his PhD thesis, under Dr. Pérez Martínez and Dr. Davio’s direction in CEFYBO and ININFA, respectively. His main project consist on clarifying the role of MRP4-mediated efflux of nucleotides in sperm physiology in various species of mammals, with the ultimate goal of validating MRP4 as a therapeutic target or predictive biomarker of male subfertility/infertility.
Agustín is also a passionate of plastic arts, science fiction and pop culture in any of its presentations. In his leisure time, he enjoys drawing, painting, assisting to concerts and playing to table games.
