Javier Andrés Muñiz studied at the National University of Quilmes and obtained bachelor's degree in Biotechnology in 2013.

During his undergraduate degree he completed an internship in the laboratory of Cytoarchitecture and Neuronal Plasticity (ININCA-CONICET).

Then, in 2014, Dr. Veronica Bisagno granted him the Agency scholarship to carry out his doctorate at the Institute of Pharmacological Research (ININFA-UBA-CONICET), the LABORATORY OF STIMULANT DRUGS NEUROBIOLOGY which he is currently performing under her direction.

His subject of study is based on investigating the functional and molecular alterations product of the combined administration of cocaine and caffeine in a murine model.
